At the beginning of the Spring 2000 semester, a group of Clarkson students started working towards becoming a chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. They received their charter as the New York Chi chapter on April 6, 2002. They moved into their House on the Clarkson campus in early 2014.
