On February 18th, 1956, Omega Epsilon became the Zeta Phi chapter of the national social fraternity Alpha Chi Rho.
At 7am on December 20th, 1975, a heat sensor system sounded the fire alarm at the Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity house. The fire becomes too much for the fire department and it spreads to a nearby house. The house is leveled from the fire which was later found to be caused by a faulty furnace. With strong alumni support a new house was built and dedicated on October 24th, 1976.
