According to documents from alumni of
Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, the Myron Powell House / Lockwood House
was the oldest house in Potsdam, probably built
in 1832 by Mr. Parmelee. It was built in the Federal style with coursed stone front and sides, the
back of the house constructed using random laid stone. The basement walls were about two feet thick cobble and rubble sandstone and the walls were 1-2 feet thick, built to Potsdam Sandstone quarried from the Clarkson Pit.

Aldis Lockwood conveyed the property to
Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for $1 as part of his last will and testament on August 10, 1933.

In 1968, Alpha sold the house to
Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity for $36,500.

In 1998, the Clarkson chapter of AEPi was dissolved due to lack of interest. The house was sold and in May 1998 it was demolished and a fire/police station was build
